Immediately after completing his training as a hotel specialist, Sascha de Clerque was taken on in the purchasing department of the Breidenbacher Hof Hotel in Düsseldorf, where he was responsible for the merchandise management of the hotel. From 1999 to 2005, he was head of financial accounting at the Lindner Congress Hotel Düsseldorf and then moved to the headquarters of Lindner Hotels & Resorts as assistant to the head of accounting from 2005 to 2009. This was followed by a part-time degree in business administration at the VWA Düsseldorf and further training as an assistant for controlling at the Herrenhausen Management Institute in Hanover. As a hands-on practitioner, he is familiar with accounting in the hospitality industry and has successfully led and implemented numerous optimization phases in administration throughout his career.
